Ooops

Played the guilt card really well yesterday - have a secret hiding place to slink off to when SHE thinks she is disciplining me by not letting me sleep on the bed all day when I (allegedly)"kept HER awake" all the previous night with "my yowling". YOWLING, humans just can't seem to grasp the complexities of the psychological warfare I am waging against that darn imposter. It lives NEXT DOOR, yet comes into OUR garden and has the temerity to wander round looking ginger, so that Dave and myself sometimes mistakenly let our guards down thinking that it's our beloved leader, Whistlejacket, The Pocket Tiger. I swear Whis himself is even fooled sometimes, "oh look, it's me".

Anyhow, I hid until late evening and didn't answer any calls for lunch or dinner, by which time SHE forgot that SHE was punishing me and got all worried... the usual "under a bus/left home/kidnapped to make a fur coat" melodrama playing in HER head, no doubt. Tee hee! It started to rain pretty heavily about 7.30pm, so made a dash for home and looked suitably bedraggled and sorry for myself by the time she opened the door. Sometimes I amaze myself with how well this routine works, got extra tuna and everything.

All going well until about 3.15am, when I heard some random Badger related disturbance out on the back lawn and woke HER up to let me out to investigate. SHE's is pretty grumpy again today. Lordy!
